We are looking for a reliable and flexible person who is happy to drive a 3.5 tonne flatbed vehicle for a specialist engineering company based in Bridgwater.

The role involves delivering engineering equipment and materials to customers and site works across the UK as and when the need arises. Key Responsibilities

  1. Driving a 3.5 tonne flatbed vehicle safely and responsibly.
  2. Delivering engineering equipment, materials and components to customers and site works throughout the UK.
  3. Loading and securing loads safely and checking that items are appropriately secured before travelling.  Help will be available
  4. Completing delivery paperwork and obtaining customer signatures where required.
  5. Representing the company professionally when dealing with customers and site personnel.
  6. Carrying out basic vehicle checks and reporting any issues.
  7. Keeping the vehicle clean, tidy and in good condition.
  8. Supporting the engineering/factory team with other practical duties if additional hours are required.

We are looking for someone who is:

  1. A reliable and responsible driver.
  2. Comfortable driving a 3.5 tonne flatbed vehicle.
  3. Flexible regarding working days and hours.
  4. Customer-focused and professional.
  5. Physically capable of handling engineering items and securing loads.  Support will be available in most cases
  6. Happy working independently and travelling to different locations.
  7. Ideally experienced in delivery driving, transport or engineering environments, although relevant experience will be considered.
