About the Role
We are looking for an organised and proactive Quality
NPD & Compliance Supervisor to join our growing food manufacturing business.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with experience in food production, quality, or technical compliance who enjoys managing multiple projects while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and product quality.
Working closely with the Technical Manager, you will coordinate new product development (NPD) projects from concept through to launch, while supporting the site's quality management systems and ensuring compliance with food safety and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate New Product Development (NPD) projects from concept to launch.
- Gather supplier specifications and technical information for new products.
- Maintain accurate product files, specifications, and development records.
- Arrange customer product samples and monitor project progress.
- Support the Technical Manager in maintaining food safety and quality systems.
- Monitor production quality and ensure products consistently meet agreed standards.
- Assist in investigating production issues and implementing corrective actions.
- Maintain supplier approval documentation and technical records.
- Carry out supplier approval checks for new suppliers.
- Participate in internal audits and support external customer and certification audits.
- Manage traceability exercises and support product recall procedures.
- Deliver training on quality procedures and food safety requirements.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across production and technical departments.
About You
We're looking for someone who has
- Experience within a food manufacturing or Drinks environment.
- Previous experience in Technical, Quality Assurance, Compliance, or New Product Development.
- A good understanding of HACCP, GMP, food safety legislation, and quality management systems.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
Desirable
- HACCP qualification.
- Internal Auditor experience.
- Experience working with BRCGS standards.
- Knowledge of retailer technical requirements.
