We're looking for an Innovations Technologist to join a growing manufacturing business that has invested significantly in its people, technology and facilities, with ambitious plans for continued expansion. This is an exciting opportunity to work on the development of high-performance, bespoke materials, collaborating with customers and cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions that make a real impact.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Working within the Innovation team of 6, you'll lead product development projects from concept through to production, including laboratory, pilot and production trials.
  • You'll develop and test new materials, analyse technical data, source new raw materials, collaborate with Quality and Operations, support customers with technical expertise and maintain accurate project documentation throughout the development process.

What We're Looking For

  • You’ll ideally have experience in R&D, product development or materials development within manufacturing.
  • A degree in Chemistry, Polymer Chemistry, Textile Technology, Materials Science or a related scientific discipline.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • A proactive, commercially aware approach and a genuine passion for innovation.
  • Experience within textiles, nonwovens, polymers, composites or advanced materials would be advantageous but is not essential.
