An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Operations / Production Manager to oversee the daily running of a busy food production butchery. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on maintaining high standards across production, packing, fulfilment and value-added product lines.
The successful candidate will work closely with senior management and technical teams to ensure operational efficiency, food safety compliance and consistent product quality.
Key Responsibilities- Lead day-to-day operations across production, packing and fulfilment
- Maintain high standards in yield optimisation and operational efficiency
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene and regulatory requirements
- Manage production planning, labour allocation and workflow efficiency
- Maintain accurate traceability and production documentation
- Support recipe management, yield monitoring and production costing
- Train, lead and develop production teams
- Drive continuous improvement across production processes and standards
- Strong background in production planning and operations management
- Experience within an FSA-approved or SALSA-aligned environment
- Knowledge of retail and wholesale packing, labelling and traceability
- Experience using food safety and production management systems
- Strong leadership experience within a fast-paced production environment
- Good understanding of HACCP, CCPs and food safety legislation
