Are you a recent Food Science or Food Technology graduate looking to start your career in quality assurance or food safety? We are hiring a Graduate QA Assistant / Graduate Quality Assistant to join an award-winning, family-owned food manufacturing business. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in food safety, HACCP, and quality systems while working within a supportive and growing technical team. You’ll report to the Technical Manager and receive training across all aspects of quality assurance and food production compliance.
Key Responsibilities – Graduate Quality Role
- Monitor food production and manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards
- Complete and maintain QA documentation, records, and traceability systems
- Assist with internal audits, hygiene inspections, and GMP checks
- Support customer complaint investigations and non-conformance reporting
- Assist with microbiological testing and quality checks
- Contribute to continuous improvement and product development projects
About You – Graduate Requirements
- Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Nutrition or a related subject
- Strong interest in food safety, quality assurance, or technical roles
- Knowledge of HACCP or food hygiene principles (academic or practical)
- Excellent organisation, communication, and IT skills
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and eager to learn within a food manufacturing environment
Desirable (Not Essential)
- Placement year or internship in food manufacturing / FMCG
- HACCP Level 2 or Food Safety certification
- Exposure to quality assurance, audits, or technical standards (e.g. BRC)
