Night Shift Engineer (Multi-Skilled) Permanent nights, Sunday to Thursday, 10pm to 6am Salary: £60,846 per annum, plus enhanced overtime available Location: Wellington, Somerset Easily commutable from Taunton, Wiveliscombe, Milverton, Norton Fitzwarren, Cullompton, Tiverton, Bridgwater, Chard, Ilminster, Langport, Honiton, Exeter and Yeovil. Our client, a leading manufacturer of sustainable packaging, is looking for an experienced, ideally multi-skilled engineer to join a small night shift engineering team at their Wellington site. You’ll keep production machinery running safely and efficiently, and you’ll be the first point of contact for technical issues overnight. Key responsibilities Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on production machinery and plant Respond quickly to breakdowns, diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic faults Minimise downtime and improve equipment reliability Support the night production team to meet quality, safety and performance targets Assist with installations, modifications and commissioning Keep accurate maintenance records and work orders Contribute to root cause analysis and continuous improvement Monitor critical spares, maintain good housekeeping and comply with Health & Safety standards About you Mechanical, Electrical or Multi-Skilled Engineering apprenticeship or equivalent qualification Previous engineering experience in a manufacturing or production environment Strong fault-finding skills across mechanical and electrical systems Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems Confident working independently on nights as part of a small team Proactive, flexible and keen to develop multi-skilled capabilities What’s on offer £60,846 per annum plus enhanced overtime 33 days annual leave (including bank holidays)
