Overview
Production Shift Manager – Bridgwater
Salary: £up to 60,000 per annum
Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off (2 Days/ 2 Nights)
This large privately owned manufacturing company is currently looking to recruit a Shift Production Manager to join their team. The Production Shift Manager will be managing production lines and will work alongside 3 further Shift Production Managers, each managing the team on a rotational shift pattern. The role reports directly into the Planning and Operations Manager.
Responsibilities
- The role will ensure the completion of the production schedule by allocating resources effectively and making quick decisions to overcome challenges and achieve targets.
- Ensuring quality standards are met combined with ensuring the Health & Safety of the team.
- Identify opportunities for improvement within the organization (e.g. improve efficiencies / reduce waste).
- Ensuring continuous improvement takes place and that people are developed to their highest potential.
- You will also be responsible for achieving the department\’s objectives through KPIs, updating and implementing new procedures and liaising with planning to ensure efficient volume allocation.
Skills / Experience Required
- Proven extensive experience in a production or manufacturing management role with a good understanding of CI principles and Lean manufacturing.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience of people management including performance management, training and development.
- A firm commitment to health and safety and continuous improvement methods.
