A hands-on role where no two days are the same. We're looking for a practical Engineering Handyman / Multi-Skilled Engineer to join our team in beautiful Somerset surroundings. This is far from a typical maintenance role. You'll support a small successful cider production operation, but because the business has many different facets, your work will be incredibly varied. One day you could be repairing production machinery; the next you might be fixing agricultural equipment, welding, fabricating, carrying out carpentry, basic plumbing or helping with building and facilities maintenance on a large hospitality area.

What you'll be doing:

  • Mechanical maintenance and repairs
  • Cider production equipment maintenance
  • Agricultural and farming equipment repairs
  • Welding, fabrication, metalwork and lathe work
  • Carpentry and woodwork
  • Basic plumbing and building repairs
  • Facilities and general handyman work
  • Basic electrical tasks
  • General fault finding and problem solving

About you:

We're looking for someone with good mechanical experience and a practical, can-do attitude. You don't need to be an expert in everything, but experience in several of the following would be ideal: Mechanical maintenance, Welding, Fabrication, Metalwork, Lathe work, Carpentry, Plumbing, Building repairs, Basic electrics.

This could suit a Multi-Skilled Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Engineering Technician, Agricultural Engineer, Workshop Engineer, Engineering Handyman or experienced Maintenance Technician.
