We are looking for a part-time hands-on Engineer / Engineering Supervisor to join our successful and growing factory team. This is a varied and interesting role and can be carried out on a permanent part-time basis with a minimum of 3/4 days a week and a flexible approach.
The Role
- Carry out various engineering tasks on a small but expanding dairy production plant.
- Deliver both reactive and planned maintenance across production and site services.
- Take ownership of engineering standards, processes, and performance.
- Manage contractors, projects, and site engineering activities.
- Ensure high standards of Health & Safety and compliance are met at all times.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in a hands-on engineering role.
- Ideally a background in dairy or liquid processing.
- Strong mechanical and some basic PLC electrical fault-finding skills would be helpful.
- Experience in fast-paced manufacturing environments (FMCG preferred).
Working Hours
This is a day-based role; however, some flexibility will be required as the site operates 05:30 to 20:00, Monday to Friday and sometimes on a weekend.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants more than just an engineering job—you'll have the chance to help shape engineering on a new and expanding site and be a key part of its success. This role may suit an engineer looking to "own" engineering or a hands-on engineer looking to work fewer hours.
