We are looking for a part-time hands-on Engineer / Engineering Supervisor to join our successful and growing factory team. This is a varied and interesting role and can be carried out on a permanent part-time basis with a minimum of 3/4 days a week and a flexible approach.

The Role

  • Carry out various engineering tasks on a small but expanding dairy production plant
  • Deliver both reactive and planned maintenance across production and site services
  • Take ownership of engineering standards, processes, and performance
  • Manage contractors, projects, and site engineering activities
  • Ensure high standards of Health & Safety and compliance are met at all times

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience in a hands-on engineering role
  • Ideally a background in dairy or liquid processing
  • Strong mechanical and some basic PLC electrical fault-finding skills would be helpful
  • Experience in fast-paced manufacturing environments (FMCG preferred)

Working Hours

This is a day-based role; however, some flexibility will be required as the site operates 05:30 to 20:00, Monday to Friday and sometimes on a weekend.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants more than just an engineering job—you'll have the chance to help shape engineering on a new and expanding site and be a key part of its success. This role may suit an engineer looking to 'own' engineering or a hands-on engineer looking to work fewer hours. The role is commutable from Shepton Mallet, Evercreech, Wincanton, Bruton, Yeovil, Shaftesbury, Frome, Radstock, Midsomer Norton.
