We’re looking for an experienced weight loss practitioner (Registered Dietitian) to join us as a Weight Loss Coaching Team Lead. This is a unique opportunity to play a foundational role in building and leading a team of high-performing weight loss coaches within our South African base. You’ll help customers achieve sustainable weight loss and healthier lives by empowering your team to deliver high-value, evidence-based coaching. You'll also contribute directly to customer care through occasional 1-to-1 coaching. What you’ll do
- Lead and Develop a High-Performing Coaching Team
- Recruit, onboard, and manage a team of up to 12 coaches.
- Conduct fortnightly 1:1s, promote a feedback-driven culture, and support ongoing professional development.
- Ensure high-quality, evidence-based practice, particularly in behaviour change techniques.
- Uphold Operational and Clinical Standards
- Act as the first point of contact for coach and cross-functional queries.
- Manage customer complaints and escalate serious adverse events appropriately.
- Maintain strong governance and quality assurance in partnership with the Head of Weight Loss Coaching.
- Drive Impact and Continuous Improvement
- Monitor key customer outcomes and lead coaching-related projects to meet evolving business needs.
- Identify opportunities to optimise systems, customer experience, and retention.
- Support and Deliver Direct Coaching
- Provide 1-to-1 coaching to customers where needed, maintaining direct insight into the customer journey.
- Enable Best Practice and Collaboration
- Create and refine coaching resources, frameworks, and SOPs.
- Collaborate with Product, Data, and Ops teams to enhance tools, workflows, and services.
- Represent coaching in cross-functional initiatives and share insight to inform improvements.
- Champion the Customer Journey
- Partner with relevant teams across the business to enhance end-to-end engagement.
- Monitor key journey touchpoints and drop-offs, and help test and refine coaching model adaptations.
Who you are
- Registered Dietitian (HPCSA) with at least 2 years' experience supporting adults with weight loss.
- Strong expertise in evidence-based behaviour change (e.g. Motivational Interviewing).
- Analytical and confident communicator, comfortable with working with data.
- Self-motivated and solution-focused, with an entrepreneurial mindset and ability to work independently.
- Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Willing to attend the Cape Town office periodically if the role evolves into a hybrid format.
- Desirable: At least 1 year of experience managing or supervising a team.
- Experienced in customer conflict resolution with diplomacy and empathy.

- Contract Type: 12-month contractor agreement (must be registered as an independent contractor).

- Working Hours: Monday–Friday, 12:30pm–9:00pm SA time + one weekend shift (with time off in lieu).
