We are hiring an Engineering Manager to join our growth team! You will contribute to our mission to improve our patients’ health and their lives, with the development of our web applications, leading a cross‑functional team.

- You are a software engineer with at least 7 years of commercial experience.

What you will do
- Lead a delivery team: Lead a small, cross‑functional team of frontend & backend engineers, working closely with Product Managers, Designers, QAs, Data Scientists, business stakeholders and domain experts. Be the technical partner to the product manager and partner teams to evaluate the feasibility and efficient delivery of new product features and improvements. Together with the team, shape up product ideas into delivery plans, and then turn these plans into successful product launches. Contribute to your team’s delivery with hands‑on work – from architectural design, to implementation & testing and deployment & operations.
- Grow and develop your teammates: Support the growth of your teammates by regularly providing actionable feedback, growth opportunities and stretch goals. Help the team get closer to our customers and actively participate when solving their problems and needs.
- Guide optimal technical decisions & continuous improvement of our engineering practices: Guide your team on making optimal technical decisions and implementations, adhering to the adopted practices and making the appropriate practical tradeoffs for the situation at hand. Ensure the quality and robustness of your team’s work, by utilising the right mix of unit, integration, E2E and manual testing. Collaborate with the other Team Leads and the Engineering Leadership on the continuous improvement and evolution of our process, ways of working and tech stack.
What we need from you
- At least 7 years of commercial experience as a software engineer or a team lead.
- Full product lifecycle experience with product development – from inception through to deployment to production and maintenance.
- Experience with working in broader cross‑functional teams with business stakeholders.
- Familiarity with business and commercial metrics to measure the impact of your work.
- Familiarity with engineering metrics to measure the impact of your team.
- Solid understanding of architecture, programming concepts and patterns, TDD and unit testing.
- Great verbal and written communication skills and the ability to explain complex ideas in a simple way to non‑engineering teammates.
- A strong desire to learn and to contribute to the team’s work.
- Ability to work from our London HQ (Bermondsey / London Bridge) 3 days per week.
