The Role

As a Development Coach, your primary focus will be to facilitate learner progression by delivering and coordinating high‑quality training and assessment. You will manage and motivate both apprentice learners and their employer‑based mentors, ensuring that apprentices acquire the skills, knowledge and behaviours necessary to excel in their roles and build successful careers.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with employer‑based mentors to establish clear goals and objectives, ensuring apprentices make consistent progress in their learning programmes and enhance performance in their job roles.
  • Inspire and motivate apprentices to pursue and develop successful careers within the logistics industry.
  • Deliver high‑quality, engaging, and innovative teaching and coaching sessions, either virtually via Teams or on‑site at employer premises.
  • Ensure apprentices are fully engaged in their learning journey, receiving regular contact, assessments and reviews aligned with the scheme of work and ESFA requirements.
  • Equip learners with the knowledge and skills required to achieve outstanding outcomes in their apprenticeship programmes.
  • Ensure all training components are delivered in compliance with End Point Assessment and awarding organisation standards.
  • Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date records of learner progress within the organisation’s systems.
  • Provide regular work scrutiny to reinforce apprentices’ understanding and support their development.
  • Actively contribute to continuous improvement within your department and team, fostering a culture of excellence.
