Automotive Delivery Manager – £37,000 – £42,000 per annum

We are Mantra Learning, the UK\’s leading Logistics learning and development organisation. We are an Ofsted grade 2 independent training provider who have specialised in providing training within the sector for over 56 years. The Manchester site is well established as the largest specialist logistics training facility in the UK.

Through our two key brands, The Job Gym and The National Logistics Academy we help thousands of individuals each year to gain new skills. This enables our learners to obtain employment within the logistics sector and drives the long-term growth of the industry.

We work with some of the biggest brands in the country, including Aldi, Wincanton and AO, delivering approximately 400 Apprenticeships, over 2500 Large Goods Vehicle licences and 1,100 Forklift Truck licences each year. The organisation is dedicated to deliver interventions that develop the Skills, Knowledge and Behaviours to enable learners to thrive in life and work\’.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Warehouse Tutor to join our friendly team. The position is full-time, working 37.5 hours a week based in Middleton, Greater Manchester.

Flexibility will be required occasionally to support our after-hours delivery model.

Role

Oversee the Automotive department, ensuring high-quality delivery of Apprenticeship, Pathway and commercial programmes. Coordinate programme delivery while leading internal quality assurance and activities related to awarding bodies.

You will be responsible for developing staff to meet teaching, learning, and assessment standards, while reinforcing the importance of safeguarding practices.

Your duties will include but won\’t be limited to:

  1. Management of the automotive team
  2. Developing and coordinating business growth, including learner and employer recruitment.
  3. Develop, coach and support staff within the team to achieve the highest standards.
  4. Develop excellent communication links with other inter-related departments.
  5. Programme development, including the improvement of profitability and growth.
  6. Implement, maintain and improve quality improvement systems, including conducting quality checks and observations.
  7. Achieve key performance targets.
  8. To deliver quality training and assessment in centre or on company premises in keeping with the high standards demanded by Mantra Learning Ltd and the relevant awarding bodies.
  9. Oversight and management of the heavy and light vehicle delivery.
  10. Ensure all training elements are completed in accordance with requirements and programme guidelines and within the agreed time scales required.
  11. Ensures learners are supported and managed to consistently meet behavioural expectations
  12. Lead external audit visits.
  13. Maintain centre records / systems and ensure that all records are accurate, legible and in the approved format.
  14. To monitor health and safety at the workplace.
  15. To promote all Mantra Learning Ltd products.
  16. Attend meetings and training sessions to develop relevant knowledge and skills in order to perform duties and aid business and organisational development.
  17. Undertake any reasonable request made by senior management.
  18. Produce data to enable programmes to be evaluated and improved.
  19. Development of new programmes in response to employer need.
  20. Produce and implement departmental Self-Assessment and Development Plans, as well as contributing to the company Self-Assessment and planning process.

Skills & Qualifications

  1. Teaching Qualification
  2. Extensive knowledge and experience of government funded learning.
  3. Full driving license is essential.

Essential Experience

  1. Team Leading or management experience.
  2. Strong multi-tasking capabilities.
  3. Good IT Skills.
  4. Flexible approach to working hours.
  5. Teaching experience.
  6. Pro-active / Highly successful self-starter.

Desirable Experience

  1. Industry experience (Automotive)
