Role Overview

The Security Guard will play a key role in maintaining a safe and secure environment across the Manthorpe Engineering site. The position involves monitoring access, responding to incidents and ensuring that all security procedures are consistently followed.

This is a stable, long‑term position offering regular weekday shifts, competitive pay and a structured working environment. It is particularly well‑suited to individuals from ex‑military, ex‑forces or emergency‑services backgrounds, where discipline, situational awareness and adherence to procedure are core strengths.

Key Responsibilities

· Monitor and control access to the site for staff, visitors, contractors and deliveries.

· Carry out gatehouse duties including ID checks and visitor logging.

· Report any suspicious behaviour, safety hazards or security breaches.

· Respond to alarms, incidents and emergencies calmly and professionally.

· Maintain accurate logs, incident reports and visitor documentation.

· Secure the site at the end of each shift.

· Promote a strong safety and security culture across the site and uphold company security standards at all times.

Requirements

· Valid SIA Security Guard Licence.

· Previous experience in a security, military, forces or emergency services role.

· Strong communication and customer service skills.

· Ability to remain alert, observant and calm under pressure.

· Good physical fitness.

· Reliable, professional and responsible work ethic.

· Ability to pass a BPSS security check.
