Mantell Associates is partnered with a fast-growing AI-centric biotech organisation, who is searching for a highly motivated and experienced Clinical Pharmacologist to lead translational science initiatives and drive quantitative decision‑making across our preclinical and early clinical programs.
Responsibilities:
- Lead clinical pharmacology strategy for AI‑driven small molecule and biologic programs, including dose prediction, modelling, simulation, and translational biomarkers.
- Design and interpret PK/PD studies to inform candidate selection and optimisation across discovery and early development.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (AI/ML scientists, medicinal chemists, toxicologists, clinicians) to integrate clinical pharmacology insights into project decisions.
- Develop innovative approaches to leverage AI platforms for predictive pharmacology and optimise clinical trial design.
- Provide scientific leadership on regulatory submissions and interactions related to pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics and dosing rationale.
- Apply quantitative systems pharmacology (QSP) and population modelling to support patient stratification and dose selection.
- Mentor and guide junior scientific staff within the translational science function.
Requirements:
- Advanced degree (PhD, PharmD or equivalent) in Clinical Pharmacology, Pharmacokinetics, Pharmacology or related discipline.
- Demonstrated expertise in clinical pharmacology within biotech, pharma, or translational research.
- Strong experience in PK/PD modelling, physiologically‑based pharmacokinetics (PBPK), population PK, and quantitative analysis.
- Familiarity with AI/ML applications to drug discovery or clinical trial data is highly desirable.
- Excellent communicator with ability to articulate complex scientific concepts to multidisciplinary audiences.
- Proven track record of delivering translational outcomes that advance drug candidates toward clinical success.
- Based in the UK (or eligible to work in the UK), with flexibility for occasional travel.
