About the Role

This is an opportunity to do more than build a sales career. It is a chance to contribute to the protection and future of the world’s coral reefs through the responsible expansion of marine aquaculture and reef aquarium husbandry.

We are seeking an ambitious, values-driven individual to join our team as a Reef Aquarium Sales & Service Consultant. In this role, you will represent Manta Rea Aquatics as both a commercial professional and an advocate for sustainable marine ecosystems. You will work with high-net-worth individuals, business leaders, and organisations who wish to incorporate living reef systems into their homes and workplaces, delivered through a fully managed, premium service.

By placing professionally maintained reef aquariums into influential spaces, you will help raise awareness of coral reef preservation while creating long-term, sustainable alternatives to wild reef extraction. Every system sold contributes to education, conservation, and the advancement of ethical marine practices.

Full training will be provided, including marine husbandry at our Ballyclare Marine Centre and structured sales and targeting training in Belfast.

Key Responsibilities

  • Promote and sell a defined range of premium, pre-configured reef aquarium systems to private and commercial clients.
  • Conduct consultative, on-site assessments to understand client aspirations and recommend appropriate systems and service solutions.
  • Build trusted relationships with influential clients, positioning yourself as a knowledgeable advisor and long-term partner.
  • Generate, qualify, and progress leads through referrals, networking, digital outreach, trade events, and partnerships.
  • Clearly present financing options and guide clients through structured monthly payment plans where applicable.
  • Prepare accurate, professional quotations and proposals that reflect the premium nature of our offering.
  • Coordinate with technical and installation teams to ensure smooth scheduling, delivery, and installation of aquarium systems.
  • Ensure each client fully understands their system, its benefits, and the ongoing care arrangements in place.
  • Secure recurring maintenance and livestock supply contracts that ensure the long-term health and success of each reef system.
  • Assist clients in selecting appropriate, ethically sourced livestock packages.
  • Identify opportunities for system enhancements, upgrades, and additional services as client relationships develop.
  • Achieve agreed monthly and quarterly KPIs, including number of aquarium systems sold, total value of equipment and livestock sales, maintenance contracts secured, client retention and repeat business.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and uphold high standards of professionalism and data integrity.
  • Travel throughout Northern Ireland and, where required, further afield for consultations, site assessments, and installations.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, exhibitions, and promotional events, acting as a visible ambassador for the brand and its mission.

Skills and Experience

  • Proven sales experience with a consultative, relationship-led approach.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • High levels of self-motivation and personal accountability.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
  • Interest in marine life, sustainability, or environmental impact, with a willingness to undertake technical training.
  • Experience within the aquatic, marine, or luxury goods sectors.
  • Background in commercial sales or service contract negotiation.
  • Experience presenting or explaining consumer finance options.

What We Offer

  • Competitive base salary with uncapped commission potential.
  • Performance-related bonuses aligned to clearly defined KPIs.
  • Comprehensive training in reef aquarium systems, marine husbandry, livestock care, and premium consultative sales.
  • A rare opportunity to build a career within a specialist, growing, and purpose-driven sector.
  • Clear progression pathways, including the potential to lead and develop a team as the business expands.
