Do you have experience turning complex subsurface data into exploration insights and value? Are you interested in creating exploration strategies for an emerging offshore basin? We are looking for a Geoscience Consultant (Onsite) who can provide technical expertise to de-risk subsurface exploration opportunities through basin studies, petroleum system modeling, and prospect evaluation.
Tasks & responsibilities:
- Perform and support basin and regional studies to assess exploration potential and mature frontier opportunities.
- Ensure quality assurance of petroleum system models, basin models, and play & prospect portfolios.
- Conduct play, lead and prospect evaluations, including risk assessments and volumetric/resource calculations.
- Support and execute petroleum system modeling, stratigraphic and sedimentological analyses.
- Contribute to post-well analyses, peer reviews and technical peer assists.
- Translate complex geological and subsurface data into clear insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Support technical workshops, basin promotions, and stakeholder engagements.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary exploration teams to accelerate exploration and appraisal work programs.
- Contribute to the development of exploration workflows, technical studies and knowledge sharing within the team.
Requirements:
- MSc in Geoscience or a related discipline.
- At least 10 years of experience in petroleum exploration and subsurface studies.
- Strong experience with:
- Basin modeling
- Petroleum system modeling
- Play and prospect evaluations
- Risk and uncertainty analysis
- Resource volume estimation/geostatistics
