The main purpose of this role is to prepare and load all orders for retailers in compliance with Health & Safety Rules.
Key Responsibilities
- To complete barrow checks before starting, signing them in and out and documenting any faults.
- To ensure all minimum date stock is used and correct labels ordered.
- To pick and strap pallets when required.
- To check the minus sheet for orders and to ensure numbers are correct.
- To prepare the electronic/manual load plan (depending on retailer).
- To check pallets and labels are correct.
- To ensure the order is complete in full – compare the load plan against the order.
- Ensure before loading vehicle, the keys are handed into office and time documented on log.
- To check temperature and hygiene of lorry as per SOP.
- To ensure the load is secure with bar or straps.
- Ensure delivery notes are signed by the driver and copies handed into dispatch office.
- To return keys to driver.
- To keep the dispatch area safe and clean.
- To ensure daily targets are achieved.

- Basic level of English and Maths.
