The predicted salary is between 30000 - 42000 £ per year.
As a Litigation Handler, you will be responsible for proactively managing a portfolio of cases suitable for litigation through to settlement, working on behalf of insurance companies handling those claims.
What will your working week be like?
- You will be responsible for managing and progressing your portfolio of small track RTA claims proactively and correctly whilst keeping relevant parties updated.
- You will run the cases by obtaining relevant evidence to support liability and quantum.
- You will ensure that you review and reply to all correspondence and emails within our service level agreements, ensuring you keep the clients regularly updated.
- If the claim is not capable of settlement pre-issue, you will be required to draft and issue legal proceedings, prepare evidence for hearings and witness statements, instruct Barristers/Counsel to attend hearings, whilst complying with all court directions and deadlines.
- This will be achieved by training and working a task list effectively.
- Once the matter has settled you will allocate settlement funds accordingly.
- You will be required to successfully achieve your personal set targets contributing towards the team's success.
- You will be expected to undertake appropriate training and development in relation to the role and to carry out ad hoc duties of a reasonable nature which may be requested from time to time.
Who will this role suit?
The ideal candidate will be someone that is highly motivated and who enjoys a challenge, who knows how important it is to deliver exceptional customer service, communicating well by telephone and in writing. You will be happy to communicate with clients, insurers, brokers, the Court, Solicitors and Barristers. You will be a quick learner, someone who likes to take ownership but is also able to thrive in a team while ensuring quality output, with a great eye for detail. You will be able to work calmly under pressure in an organised and efficient manner using our case management system and ensuring they are running an effective diary system. It would be an advantage if you have knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules relating to RTA/Motor Insurance Claims, however training would be provided.
