We are seeking a reliable Cover Supervisor to support teaching staff and manage classrooms during teacher absence. You will supervise pre-set work, maintain positive behaviour, and ensure a safe learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish productive working relationships with students, promoting positive values and high expectations.
- Supervise pupils undertaking work set according to the Academy’s policy, under the guidance of teaching/senior staff.
- Monitor and evaluate students’ responses to learning activities through observation and recording of achievement, providing feedback/reports as required.
- Encourage students to interact and work cooperatively with others and engage all students in activities.
- Use ICT effectively to support learning activities and develop students’ competence and independent use.
Pay and Hours
- Pay: NJC £24,364.05 – £28,092.40 (FTE: £31,537 – £36,363)
- 32.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year
- Fixed Term until 31 July 2027
Qualifications and Skills
- Qualification in Level 3 Cover Supervision or equivalent.
- HLTA or equivalent (desirable).
- GCSE Maths and English minimum grade 4 or equivalent.
- Relevant experience supervising children in a school setting.
- Experience working with children who have a wide variety of educational needs.
