Mansfield District Council is seeking enthusiastic and responsible Casual Stage Crew to join the Palace Theatre Technical team. We’re looking for people with a genuine passion for theatre and some experience in technical theatre to support a wide range of performances.
The successful candidates will support our team in the smooth running of events on our busy main stage, as well as occasionally supporting activities at Mansfield Museum or offsite venues. As part of the role, you will provide technical support for incoming professional productions, amateur companies, and dance or performance school shows. You will be working with our team to ensure visiting technical teams and performers are following health and safety procedures.
Depending on your experience and interests you may also be involved in operating lighting, offering support in sound, AV, stage management, work at height or rigging. We are seeking someone with theatre knowledge and, ideally, hands-on experience in technical theatre. Excellent team and problem-solving skills are essential, as you will be working with our team, visiting professionals, schools and amateurs. A proactive and flexible approach is also important, as you will be working in a busy theatre environment.
