Mansfield District Council have a great opportunity for an Environmental Health Officer (Food, Health and Safety and Licensing) to join the team based in Mansfield. You will join us on a part time, permanent basis, and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of £34,434-£39,152 plus market supplement £3,284 (pro-rata). Hours: 22.2 hours per week (working pattern to be determined). Pay award pending.
We are looking for a motivated Environmental Health Officer to join our Food, Health & Safety and Licensing team at Mansfield District Council. You will play a key role in protecting public health by undertaking food safety, health & safety inspections, licensing visits, complaint and infectious disease investigations and sampling. The initiation of remedial action including the issue of informal and statutory notices and attendance at Court when required.
You’ll be part of a small, friendly, busy team that works collaboratively and in partnership with businesses and stakeholders to resolve issues and promote high standards. This role offers excellent benefits, including flexible working (flexi-time), generous annual leave and hybrid working arrangements.
What do we need from you?
- A BSc or MSc (Hons) in Environmental Health, accredited by the CIEH or equivalent.
- Hold EHRB Registration or be working towards registration by completion of the CIEH Environmental Health Professional Pathway.
- Have recent experience of carrying out food safety official controls in a local authority environment.
