Interim Finance Director | Social & Supported Housing

Our client, a London-based Housing Charity, is looking for an interim Finance Director for a 4-6 month project (potential extension). The role focuses on reviewing, creating, and improving Management Information reporting; partnering with Finance, IT, and other department heads to ensure accurate and compliant financial reporting, training teams, and enhancing processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Review, create and improve MI reporting.
• Partner with Finance and other departments to understand and explain variances.
• Review KPI\’s and ensure accurate reporting to housing regulation requirements.
• Ensure effective internal controls and processes in line with Housing Regulations.
• Train Finance team and other stakeholders to improve accuracy and effectiveness.
• Collaborate with IT and implementation consultants on housing system migrations and report accuracy.

Ideal Candidate

• Senior Finance Interim with substantial experience in Social Housing and integrated Housing Databases.
• Strong ability to explain the \’why\’ behind financial metrics.
• Experience reviewing and creating KPI\’s.
• Demonstrated success in ensuring effective internal controls in housing organisations.
• Proven track record of training Finance teams on best practice.

Key Details

• Start: ASAP
• Location: West London (remote senior interims accepted)
• Day rate: £375 – £500 per day (ideal £400–425)
• Contract length: 4–6 months (possible extension)
