A well-established manufacturing business is looking to recruit a Production Supervisor to lead and coordinate shop floor activities. This is a hands-on role focused on driving performance, ensuring production targets are met, and maintaining high standards of safety, quality and delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, organise and support production teams to meet daily output targets
- Plan and coordinate shop floor activities in line with production schedules
- Ensure all customer orders are completed on time and to required standards
- Monitor workflow, identify bottlenecks and implement improvements
- Maintain high standards of health & safety, quality and housekeeping (5S)
- Ensure all staff are working to SOPs, drawings and quality requirements
- Manage team performance, including attendance, timekeeping and holidays
- Support training and development of staff to improve flexibility across departments
- Manage overtime requirements in line with production needs
- Work closely with other departments (production, engineering, quality, stores)
- Drive continuous improvement and support KPI delivery
The Candidate:
- Previous experience in a production or manufacturing supervisory role
- Strong leadership skills with a hands-on approach
- Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Good understanding of production planning and workflow management
