We are currently recruiting for an experienced Service Engineer to join an established engineering business providing servicing, maintenance and repair solutions across domestic, commercial and industrial sites. This is a field-based role, responsible for planned and reactive maintenance, servicing, commissioning and fault finding on sewage treatment plants, sewage pumps and wastewater systems. The role requires a strong mechanical and electrical engineering background, along with the ability to work independently, communicate effectively with customers and undertake physical work, including heavy lifting.
Key Responsibilities
- Service and maintain sewage treatment plants and pumps
- Attend breakdowns and call-outs
- Carry out mechanical and electrical fault finding
- Complete planned preventative maintenance
- Diagnose and resolve system faults
- Liaise with scheduling teams and line managers
- Keep customers updated throughout jobs
- Identify parts required and provide feedback for quotations
- Maintain van stock, tools and equipment
- Complete comprehensive service reports
- Use a mobile app to manage daily schedules
- Liaise directly with customers on site
- Undertake on-the-job training as required
- Work safely across a range of challenging environments
