An opportunity has become available for an Electrical Technician to join a growing engineering team. This role will involve assembling and wiring electrical systems to a high standard, working from technical instructions and schematic drawings within a structured production environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble and wire electrical systems and sub-assemblies in line with technical documentation.
- Build electrical looms and circuitry for equipment.
- Follow written instructions and work under guidance from supervisory staff where required.
- Ensure all work meets quality standards and is completed accurately.
- Adhere to all health and safety procedures, taking responsibility for personal safety and that of others.
- Inspect completed work, identify issues, and escalate any non-conformances for corrective action.
The Candidate
- Background in electrical engineering or electrical assembly.
- GCSE-level education (or equivalent), with a minimum of four passes including Maths and English preferred.
- Holds a recognised electrical qualification (City & Guilds, BTEC, NVQ, or similar).
- Able to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Confident using standard electrical tools and techniques.
- Quality-focused, with the ability to self-check work and raise issues when required.
Salary £25,000 – £32,000 per annum, depending on experience. Overtime and performance-related incentives available.
