The Company A well-established engineering company is looking for a Material Handler to join the team

The Role Receive, check, and book in materials, entering all data accurately into the company system.

Load and unload delivery vehicles using the company forklift truck as required.

Support the Materials Team Leader in achieving departmental KPI objectives and maintaining the 6S programme.

Conduct daily cycle counts with accuracy and attention to detail.

Prepare kitted parts for manufacture, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely recording on the system.

Issue manufacturing orders daily.

Adhere to FIFO processes for all materials to cells (point of need).

Manage unplanned requirements via the requisition and NCR system.

Ensure all stock is stored correctly, clearly labelled, secure, and well-organised; contribute to stock minimisation initiatives.

Dispose of surplus materials safely in line with COSHH/ISO14001 regulations and recycle packaging materials appropriately.

The Candidate Strong numeracy and literacy skills, with prior experience in material handling.

Computer literate and proficient in MS Office, particularly Outlook and Excel.

Hands-on approach with strong attention to detail and excellent follow-up skills.

Problem-solving mindset with the ability to identify and implement alternative solutions.

Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.

Team player with the ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
