My client are seeking a technically skilled and hands-on Hydraulics and Support Technician to join the high-performance engineering team based in Southampton. This role combines workshop-based hydraulic and mechanical assembly work with regular international travel. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong mechanical or technical trade background who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is keen to develop their skills across multiple disciplines.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, service and test hydraulic manifolds and cylinders.
- Carry out mechanical daggerboard case fit-outs, installations and assembly work.
- Undertake mechanical winch and drivetrain installations.
- Maintain build documentation, quality records and testing procedures.
- Support hydraulic installations on new boats, components and upgrade packages.
- Manage stock, tooling and materials.
- Assist with general workshop and technical department activities as required.
Skills and Experience
- Background in mechanics, fitting, machining, hydraulics, composites or a related technical trade.
- Strong practical skills using tools, machinery and hands-on assembly or repair techniques.
