Responsibilities
- Prioritise tasks and ensure deadlines for packing and dispatch are met.
- Complete and verify all required paperwork.
- Contribute to the development of logistical processes and procedures to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
- Process shipment requests in line with agreed turnaround times.
- Ensure full compliance with customs and HMRC regulations, including commodity codes, customs procedure codes, export control licences, and incoterms.
- Accurately process shipment requests through SAP and manually via the SRF (Shipping Request Process).
- Create Customs Clearance Instructions on SAP in response to courier requests.
- Ensure freight forwarder compliance on Single Administrative Document (C88/SAD) completion.
- Track shipments and update SAP with Airway Bill details.
- Complete Dangerous Goods Declarations when applicable.
- Provide additional support to the Shipping Coordinator team.
The Candidate
- Proven experience in a similar shipping role.
- Experience handling export controlled goods.
- Experience arranging logistics for finished goods.
- Familiarity with ISO9001 standard processes.
- Ability to prioritise workload and work independently.
- Capable of preparing dispatch data promptly to meet deadlines.
- Ability to follow company processes and suggest improvements where applicable.
- Previous experience with ERP/MRP systems such as SAP, Dynamics, Oracle, or Epicor.
