An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Night Shift Setter to join a well-established manufacturing business. Working within a small, close-knit production team, you will be responsible for setting and operating CNC punch/perforating presses to manufacture high-quality metal and plastic components. This is a hands-on role offering autonomy, responsibility, and the opportunity to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing team.
Key Responsibilities
- Set and operate CNC punch/perforating presses.
- Produce quality components while achieving production targets.
- Carry out in-process quality inspections in line with ISO procedures.
- Maintain high standards of quality, housekeeping, and safety.
- Support continuous improvement activities across the production team.
- Deputise for the Shift Team Leader when required.
- Assist with the training and development of team members.
- Work closely with colleagues to ensure production schedules are achieved.
- Follow all Health & Safety and environmental procedures.
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience setting CNC punch or perforating presses.
- Experience working within a manufacturing or production environment.
- Ability to read and follow production documentation.
- Good attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Strong communication skills with a good command of written and spoken English.
- Reliable transport and the ability to work permanent night shifts.
- Flexibility to work day shifts if required.
- A stable work history demonstrating commitment to previous employers.
- A forklift licence or forklift experience would be advantageous.
