Job Description
Quality Inspector
The Company
A leading precision engineering company who have an oustanding reputation from a number of different industries, for supplying high quality parts and components.
The Role
This role will be a key position within the business. Ensuring parts and products meet customer specifications and requirements.
The work will include the following:
Carrying out inspection of first-offs
Final QA sign off for machined products and assemblies
Use of standard inspection equipment
Carry out first-off inspections for machinists
Assist with the completion of inspection reports for submission to customers
Investigating and supporting production with non-conforming material and/or components
The Candidate
To apply for this role, you must
1. A background and experience in precision engineering and previous inspection roles with an understanding of dimensional and geometric tolerances.
2. Able to read and understand engineering drawings
3. Ability to use CMM machine – programming would be advantageous
4. Experience of working to ISO9001
5. Previous use to inspection equipment – guages, callipers, micrometers etc
