Our client is a leading engineering company that manufactures solutions used within the medical and scientific sectors. They offer a superb working environment and culture.
They are looking for a Quality Engineer to identify opportunities for improvement to manufacturing and business processes through application of audits and data analysis. Supports the NPI projects working in the capacity of Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) & Quality Engineer for the NPI project team. Works cross functionally to facilitate root cause investigations and ensure effective resolution of issues. Ensures compliance with ISO 9001, product certifications, internal procedures, and customer requirements.
Responsibilities:
Improve processes application of root cause analysis, working with cross functional teams at all levels of the organisation.
Collect and report First Pass Yield data, initiating root cause analysis and facilitating improvements.
Suggest and facilitate improvements to processes to ensure compliance to ISO 9001, internal procedures and customer requirements which are effective and sustainable.
Provide daily support to inspections and operations teams.
Perform Internal Audits against ISO 9001, internal procedures, and customer requirements.
Follow audit schedule to conduct workstation & QMS audits inclusive of follow up activity.
Awareness of the requirements of ISO 9001 with experience applying the standard
Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) to analyse and present data.
Proficient in using SAP type MRP systems.
Essential Skills and Experience:
Degree in Engineering
3 years minimum experience in a quality engineering role
Experience with a range of quality engineering tools such as root cause analysis, continuous improvement methodologies, 8D, FMEA, DOE, FAIR’s
Experience of working to ISO 9001
Understanding of quality audits and inspection processes
Package:
Up to £46,000 with an extremely competitive benefits package including medical cover and discretionary bonus.
