The Role
Perform ‘first off’ & Final/Release Inspections as required following written procedures to ensure compliance to specification and contractual requirements.
Review closed out job cards for accuracy and completeness and perform product documentation ready for goods despatch
Manage packing of goods and internal/external transport.
Checking traceability and Identification requirements are satisfied by checking job cards, batch numbers, labels and part marking.
Visually assess parts to identify any damages or non-compliance.
Use a variety of inspection tools, CMM’s, callipers, micrometres, depth gauges, shadowgraph etc. to ensure accurate measurements are taken.
Assess product compliance to various customer specific requirements.
Produce FAIR reports, concessions requests and assist with PPAP’s
Complete and file quality records including job cards, inspection record sheets and non-conforming material reports.
Identify and record any non-conformances to specification requirements
Assist with resolving quality problems within the inspection department.

Experience working in a quality focused position
Able to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
Strong team work background.
A high level of flexibility in support of business needs.
MRP system experience, PC literate with good administration skills.
The Package
The salary offered for this position is £23,000- £28,000 plus a bonus to a candidate that can meet all key qualifications and abilities.
