The Role
Reporting to senior management, the Quality Manager will have full responsibility for the Quality Management System and all quality and compliance activities across the business. This is a hands-on and influential role, acting as the main point of contact for all quality matters and driving continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities include:
- Ownership of the Quality Management System and ISO9001 compliance.
- Finished product inspection, testing, and quality assurance.
- Leading internal, customer, supplier, and ISO audits.
- Managing NCRs, concessions, PPAPs, and structured problem-solving activities.
- Leading quality meetings and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Managing calibration and quality documentation.
- Analysing customer feedback and driving improvement actions.
- Reporting departmental KPIs and contributing to business strategy.
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience as a Quality Manager or Senior Quality Engineer within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
- Strong working knowledge of ISO9001.
- Quality qualification to degree level or equivalent through experience.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and organisational skills.
- Ability to influence at all levels and drive improvement.
- Knowledge of ISO14001/45001, ability to read engineering drawings, and experience with ERP or quality tools are advantageous.
