About the Company
A well-established engineering firm is seeking a Project Engineer to join its growing Projects Department. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual looking to contribute to high-quality engineering solutions within a dynamic team.
Responsibilities
Review client purchase orders and sales handover documentation to ensure project alignment.
Issue job instructions and coordinate with internal teams and specialists to ensure smooth project execution.
Develop and monitor project schedules for effective project control.
Oversee the creation and implementation of Quality Plans.
Prepare material, fabrication, and equipment purchase order requisitions and specifications.
Evaluate sub-contractor bids, including technical aspects, to ensure compliance with project requirements.
Manage the distribution, review, and timely submission of project drawings and documents.
Control and track contract variations, status reports, shipping lists, and installation/start-up documentation.
Supervise sub-contractors to ensure product quality, adherence to specifications, and timely delivery.
Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget, in line with company objectives.
Attend client and supplier meetings, including international travel as required.
Requirements
HND/Degree in an engineering discipline (preferred) or significant experience in Project Engineering/Project Management within a technical environment.
Proven ability to deliver projects on time and within budget.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good commercial awareness and decision-making ability.
Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
Ability to plan, manage, and prioritise multiple projects effectively.
Works well under pressure while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
