Job Description
PRODUCTION MANAGER
My client are seeking an experienced Production Manager with a strong background in mechanical engineering. The role requires proven leadership and supervisory skills to manage people, processes, and workflows in a technically demanding workshop environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Enforce health and safety standards and maintain a clean, organised workshop
- Lead, motivate, and develop workshop personnel
- Control workflow, labour, materials, and equipment scheduling
- Plan and manage production activities to meet quality standards and delivery deadlines
- Liaise closely with internal sales, engineering, procurement, and logistics teams
- Manage relationships with external suppliers and partners
Skills & Experience
- Formal engineering qualification (Mechanical Engineering or similar)
- Strong knowledge of manual and CNC machining, and fabrication processes
- Previous experience in a production or workshop management role
- Excellent organisational, leadership, and problem-solving skills
Salary & Benefits
- Β£40,000+
- 25 days holiday + Bank holidays
- Monday-Thursday: 8:00am β 4:30pm with 30 min lunch break (12:30pm-13:00pm)
- Friday: 8:00am β 3:30pm with 30 min lunch break (12:30pm-13:00pm)
