My client who work within the Aerospace sector are looking for a Multi-skilled Engineer. The is a very exciting opportunity and a multifunctional role which is divided into 3 functions: 1.Design (10%): Design is mainly desk based. It starts from receiving work requests from clients. It then goes on liaising with customers and gathering all the necessary information and requirements of the projects. The design is most of the time is done on CAD software Autodesk Fusion 360. Once the design is complete, it then requires completing drawings for manufacture. 2.Build/Assembly/Fabrication (30%): Once the design is completed and all the materials are received, it sometimes requires light fabrication like chopping the materials, drilling holes, bending tubes etc. Also, the design requires assembling multiple components to achieve end product. 3.Maintenance (60%): The role also focuses on maintenance of equipment. This includes periodic planned maintenance and sometimes reactive maintenance. Planned maintenance is mainly about servicing and overhauling components like valves, regulators and gas boosters etc. Reactive maintenance focuses on identifying and resolving faults on equipment and assemblies to get the production back running Key responsibilities and accountabilities: • Provide technical assistance to MRO departments with regards to test equipment •Work and assist to organises as part of a small team and therefore covering all projects during periods of independent working. •Assist with training in new equipment and systems for technicians. •Carry out fault finding of Pneumatic & Hydraulic test rigs. •Fabricate/Assemble equipment designed by the Engineering department for the workshop i.e. test rigs, packing jigs & tools. •To assist with create and manage a program •Ability to interpret CAD drawings for building and Assembly. Required Skills: •Qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics or equivalent experience in an engineering role •Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in Technical role. •Experience of working in a workshop Salary up to £36,000 DOE
