Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the assembly team within a manufacturing environment
- Work collaboratively with other team leaders to meet customer requirements
- Allocate resources effectively to ensure on-time, in-full delivery
- Support assembly staff with day-to-day technical queries and issues
- Provide updates on sales and work orders, including reasons for any delays
- Maintain visual production schedules and skills matrices
- Train, develop and onboard new team members in line with company standards
- Monitor quality of work and ensure all documentation is completed accurately
- Drive continuous improvement and lean initiatives to improve efficiency
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, build procedures and ESD requirements
- Promote high standards of housekeeping and safe working practices
- Review and improve procedures and working standards
The Candidate
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience within manufacturing
- Experience within an electronics or assembly-based environment
- Good understanding of mechanical assembly processes
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Hands-on approach with the ability to support the team on the shop floor
