The Company is a well-established and growing engineering manufacturer operating within a highly specialised sector, looking to recruit an Assembly Team Leader to join their production team. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the assembly team within a manufacturing environment
  • Work collaboratively with other team leaders to meet customer requirements
  • Allocate resources effectively to ensure on-time, in-full delivery
  • Support assembly staff with day-to-day technical queries and issues
  • Provide updates on sales and work orders, including reasons for any delays
  • Maintain visual production schedules and skills matrices
  • Train, develop and onboard new team members in line with company standards
  • Monitor quality of work and ensure all documentation is completed accurately
  • Drive continuous improvement and lean initiatives to improve efficiency
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards, build procedures and ESD requirements
  • Promote high standards of housekeeping and safe working practices
  • Review and improve procedures and working standards

The Candidate

  • Previous supervisory or team leadership experience within manufacturing
  • Experience within an electronics or assembly-based environment
  • Good understanding of mechanical assembly processes
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Hands-on approach with the ability to support the team on the shop floor
