Our client is a well-established electronics manufacturer that is going through a period of growth. Seeking an Electronic Support Engineer to join their team.
The Role
Provide technical support for both the Engineering and Production departments; often being the go-between for these teams to find a solution.
Support design team through development process.
Able to identify the root cause and propose solutions.
First point of technical contact for the production team when they have queries.
Work within engineering team to support formal qualification of products
Preparing units for qualification.
Creating test plans.
Attending test house to supervise/support testing as required.
Come up with creative ideas for test solutions both for development and production verification.
Own the design of any jigs and fixtures; taking requirements and producing a solution.
The Candidate
Electronic engineering qualifications preferred.
Experience in the support of electronic products throughout their lifecycle would be desirable.
Practical experience in fault finding and coming up with solutions to issues.
Position would suit someone from either an electronics or electro-mechanical background.
Although this is primarily a support role, the ideal candidate would also be interested in contributing to the continuous improvement of product design process.
The Package
Offering up to £45,000 per annum plus benefits.
