Job Title: Maintenance Engineer
Location: Crawley, UK
Salary: £35,000 – £45,000 (plus benefits)
Working Hours: Full-time, Monday – Friday, with occasional weekends

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team and play a critical role in ensuring the safety, security, and operational efficiency of our facilities in Crawley. With a hands-on approach, you’ll handle a mix of preventative and reactive maintenance tasks, troubleshooting and repairs, and equipment installation.
Key Responsibilities
- General Maintenance & Inspections : Conduct routine checks on tools, equipment, and machinery to ensure safety and prevent operational delays.
- Fault Identification & Repair : Diagnose equipment issues, conduct repairs, and suggest preventative solutions.
- Coordination & Scheduling : Manage work schedules and oversee external contractors for various maintenance tasks.
- Installation of Machinery : Read schematics, set up new machines, and ensure adherence to safety standards.
- Preventative Maintenance : Develop a thorough preventative maintenance program for optimal equipment performance.
- Record-Keeping : Maintain detailed maintenance logs, record incidents, and track equipment costs and updates.
Qualifications
- Education : HNC/HND in Engineering or City & Guilds qualification, ideally with a mechanical bias.
- Experience : Proven background in maintenance (machine/building) and contractor management.
- Technical Skills : Proficient with technical drawings (mechanical/electrical), Microsoft Excel, and maintenance software.
- Other : Full UK driving license and willingness to travel between South Nutfield and Crawley.
