An established manufacturing operation is currently seeking skilled MIG/MAG Welders to support ongoing fabrication and assembly work. This position is ideal for experienced welders who are confident working from engineering drawings and producing consistently high-quality work within a production environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform MIG/MAG welding on mild steel components ranging from 1.5mm to 15mm in thickness
- Weld in a variety of positions to specified quality standards
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Produce components on a right-first-time basis
- Identify and escalate any non-conformances to the relevant supervisor
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping within the work area
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet production targets and deadlines
Essential Requirements
- Completed a recognised apprenticeship in Welding & Fabrication or be time-served in a similar role
- Demonstrable experience in MIG/MAG welding across a range of material thicknesses
- Ability to read and understand technical and engineering drawings
- Previous experience within a manufacturing or fabrication environment is desirable
- Self-motivated with a proactive and flexible approach to work
- Willingness to learn and undertake a variety of tasks as required
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team while meeting customer, quality, and regulatory standards
Package
