An established manufacturing and engineering business is looking for an experienced Logistics Manager to take responsibility for logistics operations across a main manufacturing facility and two satellite warehousing sites. This is a key role responsible for ensuring the efficient movement of materials, components and finished goods from warehouse and production through to customer delivery.
The Role
- Plan, coordinate and optimise both internal manufacturing logistics and external distribution activities, while leading logistics teams across multiple sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the movement of materials, components and sub-assemblies between warehouses, stores and production.
- Coordinate finished goods from production through to warehousing and customer sites.
- Develop logistics plans around production schedules, project requirements and customer deadlines.
- Manage third-party logistics providers, transport contractors and haulage partners.
- Oversee inventory control and efficient warehouse operations.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce costs and improve service levels.
- Work closely with Manufacturing, Production, Projects and Sales teams.
- Manage logistics and warehouse personnel across multiple sites.
About You
- Proven experience in Logistics, Supply Chain or Warehouse Management within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of logistics planning, warehouse management and stock control.
- Experience managing both internal manufacturing logistics and external distribution.
- Excellent organisational, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Good Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
