An opportunity for an Electromechanical Engineer to join an engineering team developing rotating electrical products and electric vehicle systems for the commercial vehicle sector. The role would suit an engineer with a minimum of three years of industry experience who is ready to take on increased design responsibility as well as time spent in the workshop.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop new electromechanical products in collaboration with international engineering teams.
- Maintain and support an existing portfolio of products.
- Contribute to the development of electric vehicle systems for the European market.
- Act as an engineering interface between internal teams, customers, and suppliers.
- Prepare and execute Design Verification Plans and Reports (DVP&R).
- Analyse test samples and returned field units to support product improvement.
Qualifications
- Degree in Engineering or equivalent qualification.
Experience
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience developing electromechanical products in an industrial environment.
- Experience using CAD tools such as Creo or SolidWorks, including component and assembly modelling and drawing creation.
- Familiarity with simulation tools for electromagnetic, thermal, or fluid flow analysis.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including technical reporting.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with engineers, customers, and suppliers.
- Automotive industry experience, particularly with rotating electrical machines, is advantageous.
Salary - Circa £50,000 DOE
Working Hours - 37 Hour working week
