A well-established special purpose machinery manufacturer based in Sittingbourne is looking for a Graduate or Junior Design Engineer to join their design team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated graduate (or early-career engineer) who wants to gain hands-on experience designing automated machinery used across the FMCG and pharmaceutical sectors.
The Role
- You will support the design of mechanical components and assemblies for special purpose machinery.
- Working under the guidance of experienced design engineers, you will create 3D models and 2D manufacturing drawings while developing a strong understanding of design for manufacture.
Ideal Candidate
- Degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
- Good understanding of mechanical design principles, materials and manufacturing processes
- Experience using 3D CAD software (Solidworks preferred) – university project experience is acceptable
- Strong attention to detail and a practical, problem-solving approach
- Ability to communicate clearly and work well within a team
- Willing to travel to Sittingbourne
