The Company and the Role The company are a long standing British manufacturer of mechanical products used across a number of industries. You’ll be working alongside experienced engineers to support the operation and maintenance of CNC machinery, assisting in the production of high-quality components used across a range of industries. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone early in their engineering career to gain real-world experience and develop their skills in a supportive, team-focused setting. Full training would be involved in the position. Key Responsibilities Assist in the setup and operation of CNC milling and turning machines Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications Support in the inspection of finished components for quality and accuracy Perform basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting Collaborate with senior engineers and production staff to meet project deadlines Maintain a clean and safe working environment The Candidates A relevant engineering qualification (e.g., BTEC, HNC, or apprenticeship in mechanical/manufacturing engineering) Some exposure to CNC machines (educational or practical) Ability to read engineering drawings Able to use hand tools Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn Good communication skills and a proactive attitude Familiarity with measuring equipment would be desirable Salary The salary offered for this position is £23,000- £28,000 for a candidate who can meet all key qualifications and abilities.
