Junior Engineer

A well-established manufacturer is seeking a Junior Engineer to join their Quality department. This is a great opportunity for someone with a technical background, ideally with some prior experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting, who’s looking to develop their career. It’s particularly well-suited to those who have recently completed an HNC, HND or degree in a relevant subject and are ready to take on their first or second role in industry. About the Role You’ll be supporting the Quality Manager with a wide range of quality-related tasks – from maintaining key certifications to supporting audits, tracking internal training, and contributing to improvement projects across the business. Responsibilities Assist with the upkeep of quality certifications (e.g., ISO 9001) Maintain internal documentation and support audits (internal/external) Track calibration, training records, and environmental reporting data Support cross-departmental reviews of procedures and standards Help with documentation for product improvements and regulatory changes Contribute to continuous improvement and compliance initiatives Ideal Candidate Profile Engineering or technical qualification (HNC, HND, degree, or similar) Some hands-on experience in a manufacturing, production or quality role (e.g. via placement, apprenticeship, or prior role) Comfortable using Microsoft Office (especially Word and Excel) A practical mindset and strong attention to detail Confident working across teams and departments Familiarity with technical drawings or CAD software is a bonus, not essential What’s on Offer Offering from £28,000 to £33,000 per annum plus benefits
