The Role
My client is looking to recruit a Junior Engineer to support both the manufacturing and office-based teams. This is a varied position where you will play an important role in interpreting technical information, processing orders, and providing day-to-day technical support to internal departments and customers. You will work closely with multiple teams across the business, helping to ensure projects run smoothly, costings are accurate, and all documentation is maintained to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and interpret technical drawings to extract key information
- Carry out material take-offs and prepare detailed job specifications
- Produce and update CAD drawings using relevant software
- Utilise CAD/CAM systems to support production processes
- Accurately process and input customer orders into internal systems
- Maintain and update customer records and account information
- Communicate with customers to clarify technical requirements where needed
- Support job costing activities, including materials, labour, and processing time
- Provide technical support to both sales and production teams
- Ensure all documentation is accurate, consistent, and compliant with company standards
- Assist with general operational and administrative tasks as required
