Key Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day procurement activities across a wide supplier base
  • Raise and manage purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery
  • Source new suppliers and obtain quotations in line with business requirements
  • Negotiate pricing, lead times, and terms with suppliers
  • Monitor supplier performance and address any delivery or quality issues
  • Work closely with engineering, production, and planning teams to support operational requirements
  • Maintain accurate records within ERP systems
  • Assist with stock control and inventory management where required
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures and procurement processes
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain function

The Candidate

  • Previous experience within a purchasing / procurement role in a manufacturing or engineering environment
  • Strong communication skills and confidence liaising with suppliers

  • Ability to manage workload, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines
  • Comfortable working with ERP systems and Excel
