My client are seeking a skilled and reliable Welder / Fabricator to join our team. This is a workshop-based position with no onsite welding required. The successful candidate will work independently on a variety of welding and fabrication tasks and will also support and work alongside our existing second-year apprentice welder.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out welding work to a high standard within the workshop environment.
- Work with a variety of materials including structural steel, stainless steel, and aluminium.
- Interpret drawings and specifications where required.
- Complete fabrication and assembly work as part of production and repair projects.
- Maintain a safe and organised working environment.
- Assist in mentoring and supporting the development of the apprentice welder.
Skills and Experience
The ideal candidate will have either:
- Toolroom welding experience, or
- Extensive welding experience across a range of welding processes, including:
- TIG Welding
- MIG/MAG Welding
- MMA (Manual Metal Arc) Welding
- Brazing
- Spot Welding
Additional desirable skills:
- Fabrication experience and the ability to manufacture and modify components.
- Experience working with a variety of metals and materials.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Hours: Monday to Thursday, 7:30am β 4:30pm; Friday, 7:30am β 12:30pm
Pay: Β£18.00 β Β£20.00 per hour, depending on experience
Overtime: Available subject to workload and business requirements
